#553
This clock is made from two grey “bookmatched” stone slices, with captivating variegated and dappled patterns.
Bookmatching is a technique used in woodworking and stonework where two or more pieces are cut from the same, in this case, stone and arranged to create a symmetrical, mirror-like pattern. Imagine a stone being cut in half and then opened like a book. I especially like how the darker coloring near the center gives the impression of a heart, framed with highly contrasting black, mica swirled epoxy, giving a nod to traditional epoxy river tables.
The clock is fitted with a premium quality, American Made Mini Quartz Movement with custom “flames” copper clock hands and diamond shaped numbers at 12,3,6 & 9 with a blue/green patina.
Finishing it off is a 100% solid copper wire, “barren” bonsai trees (no leaves) with a blue/green patina, making this 10” round clock a stunning piece of art as well as functional.
