This clock features two bookmatched black stones with lighter grey layers, mirroring itself to create a Rorschach like image. Bookmatching is a technique used in woodworking and stonework where two or more pieces are cut from the same, in this case, stone and arranged to create a symmetrical, mirror-like pattern.  Imagine a stone being cut in half and then opened like a book.

The stones are embedded in a luminous purple/blue epoxy creating a river between the stones and filling out the perfect 7.5” round clock. Finishing this piece off is a stainless steel baren bonsai tree centered at the bottom and blackened walnut clock hands.
