Nature is the real artist.

When things just come together perfectly.
This is basically a perfect piece. Bookmatched from a beautiful black/grey stone with striking veins and dappling this live edge wall art naturally forms the shape of a heart. A small hint of red epoxy peaks from the top and the piece is decorated with an iconic solid copper wire, baren (no leaves) bonsai tree with a blue/green patina. I have made a very simular clock as we as a couple other pieces from this stone and in every case, it shines through and in this case, the bookmatching highlights the character of the stone. Bookmatching is a technique used in woodworking and stonework where two or more pieces are cut from the same, in this case, stone and arranged to create a symmetrical, mirror-like pattern. Imagine a stone being cut in half and then opened like a book.
This piece is part of our personal collection.
